Preparing for School

Home Visit

Once your child has registered at Clayton Early Childhood Center, we will contact you to schedule a home visit. Before your child’s first day of school, one of his or her teachers will come to your home to meet you. This is an informal visit, a chance for you to introduce your child and parenting style, and to ask any questions you may have about CECC or the transition to school.

First Day of School

Your child’s first day at CECC will be a half-day, accompanied by one or both parents. Spending time together in the classroom benefits parents, children, and teachers alike, building relationships early on and easing anxiety for all.
